Baptisms

A Sacrament of Grace and New LifeBaptism is a sacred gift, signifying God’s grace, forgiveness, and the believer’s incorporation into the Body of Christ. Through this sacrament, we are reminded that we are claimed as God’s children and welcomed into the community of faith.

Our Practice of Baptism

  • At our church, we joyfully celebrate both infant baptism and adult baptism, affirming that God’s promise is for all people. Whether for a child whose family desires to raise them in the faith, or for an adult making their own profession of belief, baptism marks the beginning of a life-long journey with Christ.
  • Infant Baptism – A beautiful sign of God’s covenant love, affirming that God chooses us before we can choose Him. Parents and sponsors (godparents) promise to nurture the child in the Christian faith.
Adult Baptism – A powerful witness of personal faith and commitment. Adults who come to be baptized affirm their trust in Christ and enter fully into the family of God.

How Baptism is Performed

  • We baptize using water combined with the Word of God, either through sprinkling or pouring. The water is a visible sign of God’s cleansing power, while the Word proclaims the promise of new life in Christ.

A Community Celebration

  • Baptism is never a private act—it is celebrated within the gathered congregation. The church community promises to support, encourage, and walk alongside the baptized as they grow in faith.
